Alarra Jordan graduated from the University of Mount Union in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, with minors in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies. While at Mount Union, she served as the President of the University’s Pre-Law Society. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and served on its Executive Board. She took a travel seminar in Salzburg, Austria and Munich, Germany and then studied abroad in London, England. While overseas, she found a love for traveling and exploring the world. She continues to travel in her free time with her husband, Nick, and their dog, Lilo.
Alarra enrolled at the University of Akron School of Law in the fall of 2017 and began pursuing her Juris Doctorate with a Certificate in Litigation. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be an attorney and advocate for those in need.
While at Akron, she was an Assistant Production Editor of the Akron Law Review and currently serves as the Executive Editor of Student Writing. She was also a research assistant for the Center for Professional Responsibly and has helped edit books in Sports Law and Professional Ethics.
Alarra was honored to work for the Common Pleas Judges of the Stark County Court of Common Pleas during law school as their Legal Intern. While with the Common Pleas Court, she handled the court’s Foreclosure Mediation Program. She also worked on Civil Stalking Protection orders as well as various research assignments. She gained valuable experience working with the court and wanted to transfer her skills to private practice.
She is currently a Law Clerk with The Dickson Firm and is expected to graduate from the University of Akron School of Law in May of 2020. She plans to sit for the July 2020 Ohio Uniform Bar Examination and will start as an Associate Attorney with the firm shortly after.
Alarra is very excited to be given the opportunity to join The Dickson Firm and help continue the important work that the firm does.
